Your Privacy Matters

How we handle your data.

RippleFloor respects your privacy. We explain what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe — in plain English.

1 Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through the RippleFloor website (ripplefloor.com), mobile view, and any related services, tools, or communications (collectively, the "Platform"). It explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you browse properties, submit enquiries, request valuations, or interact with our advisors.

By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

Why this matters: We operate under Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the upcoming Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, once notified. Your trust is our foundation — we do not sell your personal data.

2 Information We Collect

RippleFloor collects two types of information: Personal Information (which can identify you) and Non-Personal Information (which cannot).

2.1 Personal Information

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address (when you voluntarily provide them via enquiry forms, valuation requests, site visit bookings, or newsletter signups).
  • Property Preferences: Budget range, preferred localities, property type (apartment, villa, plot, commercial), number of bedrooms, and other filters you use.
  • Communications: Messages, feedback, or support requests you send to hello@ripplefloor.com or through contact forms.
  • Valuation Inputs: When you use the Ripplescore valuation tool, we may collect property details you submit (location, size, configuration) to generate an estimate.
  • Transaction Data: We do not store payment or financial information directly — any home-loan related requests are forwarded to banking partners with your consent.

2.2 Non-Personal Information

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, search queries, clicks, scrolls, and features used.
  • Device & Browser Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device model, screen resolution, and language preferences.
  • Location Data: Approximate location derived from your IP address (city-level). We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit permission.
  • Referral Source: How you arrived at RippleFloor (search engine, social media, direct link, etc.).

3 How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you: When you fill forms, submit enquiries, request valuations, book site visits, or email us.
  • Automatically (via cookies and analytics): When you browse the Platform, our servers log usage data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and similar tools to understand traffic patterns.
  • From third parties: We may receive information from developers or partners if you have previously interacted with them and consented to sharing. We do not buy personal data from data brokers.

4 How We Use Your Information

RippleFloor uses your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and improve Services: Show relevant property listings, personalise your experience, operate the valuation tool, and improve platform performance.
  • To respond to enquiries: Connect you with the right properties, developers, or RippleFloor advisors based on your preferences.
  • To facilitate site visits: Coordinate accompanied site visits with our advisors or developer representatives.
  • To share valuations: Deliver property valuation reports to your email address (Ripplescore).
  • For analytics & research: Understand user behaviour, identify trends, and improve content and property recommendations.
  • For security and fraud prevention: Detect and prevent malicious activity, spam, or abuse of our Platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations: Respond to lawful requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities in India.
  • Marketing (with your consent): We may send email newsletters or property alerts only if you have explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Note: We never sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.

6 Sharing & Disclosure of Information

RippleFloor shares your personal information only in limited circumstances:

  • With Developers & Advisors: When you submit an enquiry about a specific property or locality, we share your name and contact details with the relevant Developer or our in-house advisor to respond to your request.
  • With Service Providers: We use third-party vendors for email delivery (e.g., SendGrid, SMTP), analytics (Google Analytics 4), hosting (AWS / cloud servers), and CRM tools. These vendors are contractually bound to use data only for RippleFloor's purposes and to maintain confidentiality.
  • For Legal Reasons: If required by law, court order, or government agency (Kolkata police, cyber cell, courts), we may disclose information to comply with legal obligations.
  • Business Transfers: If RippleFloor is acquired or merged, your data may be transferred to the new entity under the same privacy commitments.

We do not share, rent, or sell your personal information to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

7 Data Security

RippleFloor takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses TLS (SSL) encryption.
  • Access Control: Only authorised personnel with a legitimate need have access to personal data.
  • Secure Hosting: Our infrastructure is hosted on reputable cloud providers with security certifications.
  • Regular Audits: We review our security practices periodically.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

What you can do: Avoid sharing sensitive financial details through unencrypted email. Contact us immediately if you suspect any breach of your data on our Platform.

8 Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by Indian law:

  • Enquiries & communications: Retained for up to 3 years from your last interaction, to provide continuity if you return.
  • Valuation reports: Stored for 12 months to allow you to retrieve past estimates.
  • Analytics logs: Aggregated and anonymised after 14 months.
  • Legal obligations: We may retain data longer if required by law, litigation, or regulatory requests.

You can request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 10).

9 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

RippleFloor uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyse usage, and remember preferences. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.

Types of cookies we use:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for basic Platform functions (navigation, form submissions). Cannot be disabled.
  • Preference Cookies: Remember your property filters, tabs, or language.
  • Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) helps us understand traffic patterns. GA4 anonymises IP addresses.
  • Functional Cookies: Support embedded content (maps, videos).

Your choices:

  • You can disable cookies through your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Note that some Platform features may not work properly.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals because no universal standard exists.

10 Third-Party Services & Links

The Platform contains links to third-party websites (developer sites, banking partners, social media, Google Maps, YouTube). RippleFloor is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

Our third-party service providers (hosting, analytics, email) may have access to your data only to perform tasks on our behalf, and they are contractually obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
